Glad to hear things are working out. I think you'll find mileage to be about 16, but it depends on where and how fast you go, of course. Gas mileage on short segments can vary quite a lot, and the pump is what counts, of course. The scenic route sounds like a great idea, especially if that means avoiding the big city.
