Might be other caulking...
Hi,
I just found an issue with water leaking from the non-powered vent...turned out that the caulking on the external trim strip had come loose and let water into the left half to right half (not fore/aft) joint just ahead of the vent; I surmise the wind blew the water into the vent area where it found its way inside.
Just a note to help assure the problem gets fixed...
