I might suggest, especialy with the toilet, fill with clean water and let it set a couple of days full. One it will let you know if it is goiing to leak, second if you have a leak it may solve itself as the gaskets get revitalized with the moisture.
We keep water in our toilet to keep the gaskets from drying out, even in the winter with potable antifreez, not full, just a gallon or so.
