I have also have towed my 3023 with my 3.5 liter v6 (200 hp) with 107 inch wheelbase (tow rating of 5000 with a WDH), perfect for doing 55, in a straight line, on level ground, with, in my view, little margin for error when steering or braking in an emergency. As well, I think that a first-class proportional brake controller and weight-distributing hitch contributes a lot to safe towing.

Check the tow vehicle thread for lots of good conversation and debate.

You are pretty much validating what my gut feeling is telling me - that the 3023 is too much trailer for my vehicle. I have been surfing around the net and "little margin for error" seems to be the consensus. Thanks for your input.
