On that scratch, I'd run my hand under the front shell street side and feel for either a screw or piece of metal. That's a deep scratch and you should be able to follow back from where the scratch starts.

I copied this post on the topside and i used 3" on the bottom side trying to make the run as long as possible.

On the scratch, i dont feel anything in that area yet. Im going to tape over the scratch and see if anything rips the tape but i think it may have been fixed already? I certainly didnt feel anything scraping the 2 times ive opened it and closed it.
