Grab a jumper wire and bypass the switch from the rear battery area up in the upper right corner. If the lights work, its probably the switch. If not, it is probably the wires previously mentioned.

I had to push my switch button dozens of times before the lights started working. (Dirty contacts)

Then the thin metal switch plate needed to be adjusted for the switch to actually work with the bathroom wall.

Curious as to what you found out.
