The problem is the latch hooks (and the repair shown above) just screw into the aluminum skin. There’s not much for the screw to bite.
Here’s what I did… Go to Lowe’s and get some post bolts. Then drill THROUGH the wall. Put the post bolt sleeve in through the back of the wall with a washer, screw in the bolt from the front. Of course add some sort of sealant into the holes as well. This makes the entire wall support the latch hook, not just the outer skin. And they are below the bag seals so you don’t see them from inside.
