Default Wood in new TMs

We did the factory tour early this year. The framing of the TMs, both lower and roof sections, is primarily wood. My best memory is they explained that the roof was redesigned for 2003 models. The new design incorporated an aluminum extrusion (around the edges?) which significantly improved the sealing. I'm sorry that I don't remember exactly where the new extrusion was used, but the goal was better sealing, not elimination of wood, as it was explained to us. We were satisfied enough that following that visit we bought our new 2007.

One thing they impressed on us was the importance of storing units in a slightly tongue-high position so that water ran away from the seals between the roof sections.
