Cool idea, I do not see why it would not work.unless a curtain is near the water inlet where the vent is. I do not see a problem with a little water. The walls of the TM are not wood or something else that would be damaged by water. The seal at the bottom is not totaly tight, hence the reason some dust get in, so the water should leak out. If not you could just stick your fingers between the side of the trailer and the seal to let it drain out before putting it up. I look forward to seeing how your test run goes.
