New (almost) TM Owners
Have been interested in the TM's for a while now. Searching on here for used ones for quite some time now. Also researching our local paper & found one locally the weekend of the 17th of this month. Then we buzzed down to Sanford, NC to look at the new ones & decided the used (5 times) one was just right for us. Should be able to pick it up this coming weekend.
It is a 3023 & we will tow with a 2004 Ford Conversion Van.
We have had a T@B for 3 years & have LOVED it but in another year or so we will be touring for longer periods of time so really wanted a little more convenience (bathroom & more move-around space). Almost can't think of giving up our T@B as it is 15ft, king size bed, 2 burner stove, sink, icebox & we have added hot water & filter & a small A/C as the factory installed ones are too big for size of trailer. Used it this weekend & it is so easy to tow & comfy for the two of us & our 16 yr old poodle!
We live in Raleigh, NC & have a daughter in Wilmington who has her eye on the T@B now!!! Our other children/grandchildren are scattered all over the US (MT, ND, TX, LA, NJ) as well as our parent & sibling. Makes for a mighty big loop to make in a short time so someone gets left out a lot. 86 yr old Mom comes first; then whoever we can fit in! Goal is to possibly "retire" in 2008 & spend a lot of time each summer up North in our TM. Visit the TX, LA, & NJ families in cooler weather with less humidity.
This forum is fabulous!!!! Lots of helpful information & good ideas. Since hubby is a tinkerer I know there will be mods in our future. Hopefully a rally or two also. We did T@B rallys & had lots of fun looking at how people set things up to suit their style of using the space.
