Default Inside camper battery post for inverter

Since the DC plugs are fused at 7.5 amps, your limited very limited to the size of the inverter you can use. (That's only 90 watts). I was sometimes blowing fuses with the charger for my OneWheel (electric skateboard) which, if I'm reading the charger specs correctly, pulls around 85 watts, so this got me thinking how to use a bigger inverter when dry camping.

My rather simple solution was to put battery post inside to directly wire a much larger inverter. Since the battery is located very close to the rear wall, it was relatively simple to run wire. Simply removing the panel behind the battery, and sliding out the electrical box allowed for easy access.

For the install I ran 4 AWG wire between the battery and the post. I will likely never run more than a few hundred watts at a time, and never more than 1000.

You can see the finished product in the photos. I have also included a photo of my electrical connections, which also shows my Thornwave Labs Powermon, Relay, and 100 amp shunt.
