The factory has built them exactly as you describe, for several years now. I hope they sent you a check for your consulting work!
This is a really nice mod for anyone with the lie-down bolt-down tanks. I remember mine - and scraping the skin off my hands trying to get a wrench on those bolts - after first trying to find the wrench!
