Default Self balancing

FWIW,

Many years ago old truckers used a hula-hoop like ring with liquid in it bolted to the their front wheels. Others put a little water/antifreez mix, perhaps a quart, in the tire before airing them up.

Understand, I am not recommending either because I don't think anything is better than balancing tire and wheel together on a high speed balancing machine. But the theory was that the liquid would balance the tire by centrifugal force.

I can't imagine what high tech rubber could SELF balance a tire and wheel. I would love to hear the theory. Perhaps our TM tire guru could throw some light on this.
