Proflex is the stuff to use. You can reseal on top of old proflex if necessary (usually you want to remove the bulk of the old stuff first). Silicone is much more difficult to work with. Typically you cannot seal on top of cured silicone, and removal of silicone is not an easy task. Any solvent that removes silicone also dissolves the paint, including the Krystal Kote (did I spell it right, probably not... but you get the idea).
