I think everyone so far missed the original question.
I do not have any experience specifically with the Winegard Winegard Company FL-5000 FlatWave HDTV Indoor Digital Flat Antenna (which i think Maxine_51334 is asking about).
But having worked in RF(Radio Frequency) communications i do know that the aluminum skin in all of the Trailmanors acts as a Faraday cage which will degrade or block any type RF signal. The bottom line is that in a Trailmanor, any RF reception will be better with an outdoor antenna rather than an indoor antenna.
