I have the tela-scoping (sp) chrome ones with the flashing red light on top that work GREAT in the daylight or at night. Down side for these types are that if you are not on the same level plane (tow vehicle and trailer) the balls (or what ever is on the top) will not line up straight to each other.
Normally I can back up PERFECTLY TO THE HITCH!
