I always have a topper/cap on my pickups, and it DOES help with drag. Even with the added 190+ lbs., it still improves gas mileage a little.
The frustrating thing is my A.R.E Z-series top will NOT fit on F150's newer than 2008, due to redesign. New ones are $2300!
