2004 Ford Expedition (not sure of gear ratio - probably 3.73) with 5.4 V8 gets around 17 mixed city/freeway driving while not towing. Vehicle is stock - no mods.
Recently returned from a trip from here (Johnson City, TN) to Arizona and back. In semi-mountainous terrain we get around 13-14 towing. In the flatlands we got around 15 while towing. In the western mountains, around 12. Towing in the flatlands (Oklahoma, Texas Panhandle) towed in overdrive - all other towing was with overdrive off.
TM is a 2007 3124KS. I've never weighed it loaded for a trip but I estimate 4500-4800 pounds.
