On my axle, which is on a 2000 2720SL, the model number is on a thin metal plate riveted to the front side of the axle. You can't miss it. Yours may have fallen off.

This is what I order when I do what you're doing....and I don't just replace the shoes. I buy the entire brake assembly, which is literally only $10-$15 more than the shoes, and that gets you a new magnet. A much easier install, too.

Part numbers are off of Easternmarine.com.

1 5331006 10" x 2-1/4" Electric Brake Assy. - Right Hand / 3.5k
2 5331005 10" x 2-1/4" Electric Brake Assy. - Left Hand / 3.5k
3 1590022 TimkenŽ 1-1/16" Bearing Cup & Cone Set
4 1590025 TimkenŽ 1-3/8" Bearing Cup & Cone Set
5 5257018 1" ID Round - TANG Washer
6 5331097 DEXTER 1.72" ID Grease Seal #010-019-00 (Dexter part #)

I always carry an extra pair of seals, bearings, and Tang washers with me in case roadside repairs are necessary at 10pm Sunday night.

Next time I do the brakes I may use the Nev-R-Adjust assemblies.
