Default Tekonsha P3 Settings

I just got a Tekonsha P3 for my 2011 Honda Ridgeline that was already wired with a plug for a brake controller. My 2004 2027SL has new Dexter self adjusting brakes with new drums and pads.

I followed the directions in the P3 manual, setting the voltage to 6.0, and hitting the manual controller brake @ 25 with no TM wheel lockup. I did the same for all higher settings up to the max with the same results.

At all the settings from 6 and >, I could feel the TM brakes grabbing, so I'm rather puzzled at what setting to use. I've read what others are using, from 7-12 and using lower setting for wet roads vs dry to prevent TM lockup.

I think I'll start out at 7 or 8 and then a B1 booster setting per the Tekonsha recommendation and see how that works.
