Oh yes they sure take up a lot of space. I have a queen bed with just bailey and me and for a 60 lb dog, she sure takes up a lot of space. She is quite tall so when she stretches out she is probably 4'7".
Btw she is another reason I got the slide model so there was plenty of floor space for food water etc.
