Flyguy -

Your post mentions both the height of the trailer and the circumference (length and width) in the same sentence. Be sure not to confuse the two - from the point of view of a cover, they are not related.

Regarding circumference, I don't have any specific measurements for your trailer. But consider this.

The circumference of the trailer is twice the width plus twice the length. I think all TMs are the same width, so there is no difference there between your 3124 and my 2720. But a closed 3124 is 4 feet longer than a closed 2720. The hitch area is the same size in all TMs, so the box of a closed 3124 - the part you are trying to cover - is 4 feet longer than the box of a closed 2720. You say your box is 20 1/2 feet long, which mean that the box of my 2720 is 16 1/2 feet long. The 12295 cover is 18 feet long, which is long enough to cover the box of a closed 2720, with a little to spare. But I wouldn't expect it to fit the 4-foot longer box of a 3124. In other words, I'm not surprised that a 12295 doesn't fit. Unfortunately, since the 12295 is the longest cover in the folding trailer series, you have no choice but to move to a HiLo cover.

As for height, that's a matter of personal preference. My 2720 has an air conditioner, like yours. With the airco, the 12295 doesn't go all the way to the ground on my 2720, and I wouldn't want it to. It covers the entire height of the box, and just a couple inches below. I can cinch it up so it doesn't blow in the wind. A taller cover would (in my opinion) have too much fabric hanging below the box, and it would be difficult to cinch up so the wind doesn't catch the slack. But as I say, if you want more height, that is a personal preference.
