I struggled with the 3.55 vs 3.73 choice. In the end I figured for the loads and terrain I tow on it probably does not matter to much.

The 3.55 in Florida should do a fine job, and will probably give you better gas mileage towing or not. With something as light as the Trailmanor, you shouldn't have a problem in the mountains either, be it the Alleghenies or Rockies. Around here at the base of the Blue Ridge, I am a firm believer that the 3.73 is a better choice even with gas mileage. You tend to be either going up hill or down, and I think the extra power to the wheels should help with not quite as much down-shifting.
