Thetford says that Aqua-Kem green was/is a biological treatment, which means no formaldehyde. In their site FAQ, they also say that Aqua-Kem Blue used to contain formaldehyde, but has been reformulated "and we can guarantee you that we do NOT use formaldehyde in our products".

On the RV Net Forum, I found a discussion of this topic. Most commenters said they couldn't tell the difference, but one guy got scientific and reported "I went to Thetfords site and pulled the Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for both products. They are identical." In other words, Aqua-Kem Blue and Campa-Chem Original were the same product, but had different target markets. One was sold at higher-price fancy outlets, and the other at lower-price places.

Either way, if you can find AKB or CKO, stocking up might be a good idea.
