Yep, you guessed it! Holds 'em together in a stack when travelling. The lip of the upper unit fits into a groove in the lower unit and then they latch together. You should also have a bungee with a couple of eye hooks (one on the wardrobe and the other on the bathroom wall somewhere, can't remember exactly) to keep the stack from moving. Dang, the TM folks are clever!
