Thanks guys, now all I have to do is figure out if hot water heater is gas & electric. Pam
Pam -

Easy to do! Any one of three ways.

1. Is your TM relatively new? I think TM has been using gas/electric water heaters for several years now.

2. Can you read the model number of your water heater (probably under the sink)? Yours is probably a Suburban water heater, and has a model number like SW6DE. In this case, it decodes as
o S = Suburban
o W = water heater (as opposed to furnace, or other Suburban product)
o 6 = 6 gallon capacity
o D = direct ignition (ie, electronic ignition) gas
o E = electric heating element included

3. Take the outside door off, and look for the switch. It isn't especially visible, but this PHOTO shows its location. And as Denny A mentioned, the little cotter pin is easy to misplace - you notice it is not shown in the photo???

Hope this helps
