Thanks, Wayne, I appreciate that! The stuff I have is left over from a kit that had a small solar panel and light sensor attached to the lights, and I think I have 16-feet left on that roll. By your measure that would be good enough for 5 lights, which I think I have, so now I'm definitely curious to investigate it. I think they're cool white though (4000K), so if that's the case, I probably will want something warmer.

Three feet of LED at 0.3W per foot = 1 watt total, or 0.08 amps at 12v? That doesn't seem right. Could it be 3W per foot, so roughly 10 watts in total (0.8 amps)? Those retrofit bulbs I linked to earlier are 4 watts each, so 2 of them per fixture would be 8 watts in total.
