You shouldn't have any issues with your ST as described. I've been using an '03 (check my signature) for the past two years. During that time we have made two round trips to Southeast AZ and back along I-10 to FL, then up the East Coast to Western MA. The ST has a fairly long wheel base and makes towing our 2720 SL (packed for 3 months on the road) very easy to tow. As Larry mentioned, the V-6 is a bit under powered if towing the mountainous areas. With a V-8 you should be okay though. PM me if you have any questions.
