Any of what you are condering is possible depending on how handy you are. You could even delete the furnace and use a propane catalytic heater (Heater Buddy or Wave). If you elect to keep the furnace you would want to redesign an enclosure.
On for height, I have seen one discussion somewhere on the forums about replacement recliners and how to get them to fit when the trailer is closed.
