Sounds like a real success story! I'm glad to hear it.

One suggestion, which you are probably already aware of. When you go to recaulk, be sure to remove the old caulk first, even if it is not loose. Recently I read on a handyman site devoted to recaulking a shower that "Silicone caulk sticks to nearly everything except itself." If you try to caulk on top of existing caulk, it won't solve the leak problems.
