If the bag seal is, indeed, Hypalon, that is what the very best inflatable dinghies are made of. I looked on the net at a site called "allinflatables.com" and they post the warning: NEVER USE STRONG DETERGENTS (ACID, TRICHLORETHYLENE, MINERAL SPIRIT) OR SILICONE-BASED PRODUCTS TO CLEAN YOUR BOAT. West Marine is our go to source for TM maintenance and their website suggests Formula 303 Aerospace Protectant. We've used that on our canoes, kayak and sailboat cushions for years with good results. camp2canoe
