I do not have the factory tow mirror option on my Tundra. I also do not use strap on mirrors. I have a pair but they are really unnecessary given the width of the Tundra. Unnecessary doesn't guarantee legal of course but you should be able to see the sides of your TM with just the factory mirrors. I don't know if the 07-10 body style makes my experience different from John's 2006.
