Are you sure? Most air conditioners have a 1 year warranty plus a 5 year warranty on the sealed compressor unit and coils. I'd still contact the dealer and find out if they wouldn't help solve this problem.

At any rate it is a good idea to make sure you have the correct voltage coming to the unit like Wayne is saying. At least you can confirm to the dealer that isn't a problem.
