I was thinking of doing the same thing, only I was thinking about mounting it under the cabinets on the front wall, This way I can hook up My Wii for the kids ( or me ) to play, plus theres cabinet space for the dvd player etc. But, Im new and haven't seen how my system will fold down ( if there's room) if I do it, I'll post pics.
