Most important is precision, which refers to getting the same reading each time. I'm not too worried if the measurement is off by even 4 or 5 because it's probably more important that all tires are at the same pressure.

Don't forget that as you start driving, the pressure will increase as the rolling resistance increases the air pressure. Loading your trailer unevenly will cause one tire to heat up and raise the pressure more.
