Smile Stopping mice from getting in your trailmanor

We just purchased a used 2004 3023 trailmanor that had SEVERE mice issues. Both lower cusions and the curtain on the bottom of the sleeper couch were eaten. After $700.00 and a lot of cleaning it still smelled like mice? The reason is there is a spot the factory missed to seal.I did contact them several times so hopefully this wont be a issue for future buyers...Now here is where it is and how you get to it. All you need to repair this entry point for the mice is a can of great stuff and some rubber gloves (The greatstuff wont come off if you get it on your skin so use the gloves)The first thing is unhook the battery then make sure the power is unhooked!! as the entry point for the mice is a hole in the floor for the vent tube on the holden tank behind the electrical panel, so the electrical panel will need to be pulled out. 1st unscrew the hinged cover on the electrical panel (in the hall by the bathroom) be carefull not to touch the coils under the breakers, then unscrew the 4 screws on the box holden it to the wall.Slide it out and you will see the pipe behind the panel and a huge hole on the floor where the pipe is coming in to the trailer, that the mice love to use to enter to destroy your trailer (or theirs)!!! you can then fill the gap around the pipe with the great stuff and ruin the mices day make yours. The great stuff does expand so be careful. And if you have a mice issue there probably is a nest in that area(mine was between the bed and the panel)and my mice nest was large enough that it filled my shopvac. also if you do have a nest. once you remove it make sure to clean the floor with bleach..happy trailmanoring...also dryer sheets around the inside of the trailer help and it smells good!!!
