Can someone tell me if the 1999 2720 has any of the wood components
that I've read about in the forum that can potentially cause weight problems for the roof. Also, I have a Drawtite 2 inch hitch with a 7 way receptacle on my
Chevy Blazer 6 cyl 4.3. Will this type of hitch work with a 2720?

Thanks... Paul

I'm not sure I recognize "wood causing weight problems for the roof". Can you give us a clarification or reference?

Re your Draw-Tite 2-inch hitch. I think you are referring to the hitch receiver - the socket on the back of the tow vehicle that the actual hitch slides into. The socket is a square metal tube in which the opening is 2 inches by 2 inches. Is this right? If so, it will be fine. You will need to get a weight-distributing hitch (WDH) to slide into it.

However, that just means you want to look at closely. I have seen some pretty old TMs (a 20 year old 2720) that had not issues with the wood construction. If it was well cared for there is every chance it was just fine.
