We just returned from a 6 week, 5000+ mile tour of the Rocky Mountains from Albuquerque to Jasper, Alberta and back. We spent 34 nights in our 2619 which, with the addtion of an 85 watt solar panel, worked almost perfectly. I haven't yet been able to adjust the torsion on the fron shell to handle the solar panel weight properly, so the fron shell is a little difficult to manage. The "reefer" worked great on AC and gas but very poorly on DC when we were running. We left with the original, 8 year old, Marathon Tires, one of which began to shed its tread on the way home. The spare filled the bill nicely.
We fished the Green River in Utah and the Henry's Fork in Idaho on the way to meet friends who live in British Columbia. We fished several Canadian rivers and viewed so much simply awe inspiring scenery that We are still overwhelmed. We fished the Madison River in Montana and the Blue River in Colorado coming back home. The fishing was all wonderful, catching was a bit disappointing.
We are totally in love with our TM now. When we first acquired it, and for the two years since, we had become a little daunted by the labor required to set-up and take-down. We are now past masters and a great team. We take little more time to erect and strike our TM than we did with our teeny pop-up tent camper.
We highly recommend a camping trip to British Columbia and especially to Banff and Jasper Natural Parks in Canada. It is well worth it, even with gas at $1.47 per litre, beer at $10.00 a six pack and $4.00 for a bag of ice. Canada is expensive for Americans, the Canadian minimum wage being around $9.00 an hour.
