Had to replace the 5 amp fuse for the first time. Have no idea as to why it blew, but I was glad to know how to do it from reading previous forum postings.

I had to replace mine one time too. No obvious reason as to why, either.

OK, where is this fuse? Is it the same size as the 30 amps or one of the smaller ones?

This was probably answered elsewhere in the forum. Take the control box off the toilet by backing out the two big phillips screws. The fuse is in an in-line fuse holder -- you can't miss it. It holds a standard, old-style automotive cartridge fuse. I got a box of them at an auto parts store.

If the 5 amp fuse is blowing for no known reason, replace it with a 7-10 amp fast-blow fuse. Some of the thetford pumps pull just a little more load than others. Not a defect, just a fact.
