I am looking into purchasing a 1997 3023. I cannot seem to find much information regarding this particular trailmanor. I am looking to find out the size of the trailer when it is closed/ size of the trailer when it is opened/ what is the layout plan? Does anyone have any links/PDF file that would be helpful regarding this model? Your help is appreicated... :)

I can't speak specifically to the 1997 model, but I'd expect that it's like the newer models, in that 30 is a 30 foot equivalent when open (less tongue, so about 27 feet open) and 23 feet when closed. I'd also expect it'd be roughly the same layout as TM shows on their site for the current models, with a queen bed at one end and a double bed at the other.

Chances are that differences from the current 3023 would be mostly things such as colors, air conditioner location (roof vs. side mount), latch mechanisms, etc.

We own a 1997 2720, and visited with someone else who had a newer model 2720 (2001, I think) before we bought ours. Our floorplan is just like theirs. From comparing the brochure that we found in our TM with the factory specs page, it doesn't appear to me that the floorplans have changed since then.

I believe that our 1997 is very well and solidly made. Things that people complain about with the newer models (screws coming loose, stove coming loose, problems with the refrigerator, cable connections) haven't been an issue for us. We've broken a couple of things that we've had to fix :o ) and have chosen to make some modifications, but we would buy it again in a heartbeat.
