Does anyone know of dealers who rent TM within 700 miles of south Louisiana? We're thinking of buying one, but would like to try one out first.

DW and I tried unsuccessfully to rent a TM before we bought new in spring, 2005. We did spend a great deal of time crawling in and around the TMs at two dealerships and read virtually everything on this website. We also asked a number of questions of current owners and look forward to some day meeting those who kindly responded. So I guess the answer is that no, I don't know anyone who rents TMs, but found this website the next best thing. Given the tradeoffs and limitations of the TM (and of every RV), we are pleased with our choice. - Camp2Canoe

Thanks. We've never owned an RV of any kind and want to be sure that it's the right thing for us.

We rented an RV that was already at an RV Park near Yosemite once. You might be able to find something like that so you can experience what it's like without having to tow it. Just search Google online for lodging or RV Parks in your area or even "RV Rentals" in Louisiana. Good luck!

Spring Cypress RV rents TMs - I not sure of the model # but I know that the ones they rent do not have the the bathroom. They are on 249 north of Houston. Their phone number is (281) 351-7700.

Good luck - GM
