;D well, we sold the VW Camper this monday to a young mountain climber from KY. she is in love with it, as we once were. but now, largely thanks to you and the tretta site, we are proud owners of a Trailmanor !!;D ;D and like many of you have said, we can't wait to get her home this weekend. we'll be spending nearly 500.00 to take out the 11 gal. water tank and replace it with a 20 gal. tank(most of that is labor), and we turned down ordering a rear window awning(TM needs 80.00 just to ship it), but we got her for an incredible price--a '98  2720SL model with all other options, owned by an elderly man new, and for only 7000.00. we think we got a heck of a deal--and the former TM dealer we bought it from has rechecked every system and pronounced it like new( is there a symbol for crossed fingers on this board)??!  thanks for all the TM advice-- the wife of the  2swans is writing this, and  has made a huge binder of all your comments to take with us on our first trips, and we'll be thinking of ya'll.   and here's hoping your TM's stay nice and cozy bedded down for the winter.  2swans(dale and sally).

2swans:

We have worked a deal with our dealer in Colorado to have most anything we wish to be shipped with a truck load of trailers.  That way we have not been charged shipping charges.  But then, we have the nicest dealer in the U.S.  And he is selling many trailers to there is a frequent truck of trailers heading his (and our) way.

Dale and Sally,

It does sound like you got a great deal.  Having a binder of comments and tips is a good idea too.  I've been keeping select  streams, like the one on installing the radio, but will seriously consider printing out more of them and organizing them in a notebook.  Some people might think that's excessive, but when you consider the investment we've all made, I think it makes sense.

Best of luck to you,

F. J. & Ellen
