Stayed here last weekend with the grandkids and daughter just as a shakedown cruise b4 the 3K mile trip next month. Some observations:

On the + side: Huge campsites. Way bigger than the Woodalls guide suggests. They say 15 feet between campsites. More like 15 YARDS+. Stayed in B46 right on the water (reservoir). Nice view. Herons. Decent fresh water and electric hookups. Bath house was adequate (cement block w/ 1 commode and 2 showers). Reasonably clean. Good playground areas for the kids away from the campsites. MILES of bike trails to explore. Fishing boat rentals were ridiculously cheap. $4.25 for the DAY while the canoes and paddle boat were about that for the hour. Park personel were 100%.

On the - side: Camp area needs some serious policing up. Lots of small litter laying around. Cannot understand why folks like to throw trash in the water. The worst thing was the highway noise. This is not far from the interstate and also a major highway that parallels the interstate. (The TM proved pretty quiet on the inside. Ran the Fantastic Fan for white noise at night) There are other camping areas further back from the roads that cut down on the noise pollution but most of these aren't on the water. The other really bad thing, this weekend at least, was the dump station was full to overflowing!!

There were a fair number of campers there but not near capacity. At least 2 others said this was thier favorite spot.
I'd probably give this a 3 out of 5.
