Just wondering if was possible to retrofit an older trailmanor with the swing away tongue, and if so, how much is a reasonable price for this. Also, how much to add a low profile ac to a unit. Also, how much to add for a lift kit.

Thanks,
Dave

My dealer, Dinuba RV in Rio Vista, CA, has a local welder that he uses to convert a new TM to add a swing away tongue when he sells one off the lot and the customer wants one.

So, yes, it can be converted. Now the issue is finding a welder that can and will do the modification.

Adding a lift kit is cheap and easy.

Adding a roof air conditioner is considerably tougher. The A/C is heavy, which means that the torsion bars that lift the roof must be changed out. I wouldn't even attempt this locally - instead, email Ed Lytle at the factory and see if they are willing to do the job there.

You didn't say where you are located, but the factory is always the best place for major mods like this. There are perhaps a few very advanced dealers who are equipped and knowledgable enough to do the job (I bet both California dealers can do it) but very few.
