Hi,

Working on '06 camping trips. Anyone want to recommend campground in Myrtle Beach area, 3rd week of April. We don't have kids and enjoy scenic and quiet campgrounds with water views were possible and access to hiking and biking.

Thanks!

Vince

This information may be a little out of date or the campground name could be changed.
Commercial parks: that I have been to:
Apache Campground- Has small sites, older, perhaps quieter, ocean fishing pier, and is at the northern end of Myrtle Beach. Small beach frontage.
Pirateland and Ocean Lakes- have small beach frontage and hundreds of small sites. Lots of activities, very crowded in summer. Both are side by side at southern edge of Myrtle Beach. These are mostly full hook ups.

State Parks: Both have water and electricty only with dump site at exit Closest to Myrtle Beach is Myrtle Beach state park. Smallest of the state beach parks but has large beach frontage for the number of sites. Location is at southern end. Even better is to go 10 miles south to Huntington Beach state park. Great seafood nearby at Murrells Inlet, deep sea fishing, huge beachfront, nature programs, large sites, and art attraction across the highway. P.S. Only tell Trailmanor owners about this campground.
