I have a new TM2720.
I am having a little trouble with the front & rear "Cap" catches latching.
I have to "bounce" with all of my wieght on the front & rear cap step brackets in order to get the catches to latch ( I weigh 230 pounds).
I have noticed that there is a slide adjustment on the catches.
Is this something that is the proper thing to adjust to make it easier to close up the trailer.

Terry -

I think you have the right answer. Just move the slide adjustment a bit. Start with 1/4", then if needed, do another 1/4". The closure should be firm - you don't want the shells loose enough to bounce around during travel - but a 230-pound bounce is too tight.

Oh, and by the way, it is probably not a good idea to grab the awning housing when you are closing a stubborn shell. Although it seems perfectly placed for this purpose, the awning might eventually pull out.
