We have lived in Oregon 40 years. If you get that far north Tillicum Campground up by Yachats is our favorite. It is a bit windy at the beach here in the summer but nice in morning and evening a lot of the time. If the wind gets to be too much there is a lot more to Oregon than the beach. Lots of great camping in the mountains on the rivers. Coast range rivers even get warm enough to swim in.

We are going to go up the entire coast so we hopefully can get in there.

Thanks.

Today started off with realization that someone had stole hitch pin... of course it was after hitch and trailer were on ground. No damage done but made me angry. Up t the coast we go

Beverly Beach SP just north of Newport is a great SP and the beach is great for miles both north and south. You walk under hwy 101 to get to the beach.

Note to self---buy and carry a spare hitch pin ;)

Isn't that Oregon Coast one of the most beautiful places there is? I love it there

I agree,Oregon is beautiful. This is the first time we have ventured out this way,but it won't be the last.

We have 2 extra pins now and I check it before we ever move every time now. I am just grateful that no one or our trailer got hurt

Too bad we have to react to thoughtless people...tends to dull the trip. Remember the days when EVERYTHING could be left at the campground and nothing was ever bothered. The coast looks wonderful- would love to do that trip sometime. Focus on the good and beautiful and try to forget the bad. Enjoy!

Done the coast from top to bottom many times and just can't get enough of it. The sun sets, fire on the beach with a bottle of wine with the DW and the dog makes for the best times to remember. We build a fire on the beach and grill oysters and shrimp for ourselves and buy a steak for the dog to enjoy.Don't forget the cheese an crackers while your waiting for the oysters to cook.

The air show is here in Hilllsboro next weekend. We will be going somewhere. Good chance it will be the coast. Glad you are enjoying our state. The mountains are fabulous too.

And Walmart sells locks. I have locks on both my hitch pin and ball pin. Not very expensive, although it is really sad someone would rip u off and now we have to lock everything that is not bolted down....
