2922KD Solar panel and controller

My new Trailmanor has a Samlex SCC-30AB controller for the 80 watt solar panel. If I am not mistaken, this is different than earlier models. It is a true 4 stage charger and may be safer to leave the battery connected that earlier 2 or 3 stage chargers.
But, the reason I am posting is that Samlex has a product manual that has a very good tutorial about deep charge batteries in general and information about charging with a solar panel. I found it a very good source for learning a bit more about the 12 volt side of life. Here is the link:

That looks cool. The metering is what sets it apart from most controllers. I have a Blue Sky 2000E MPPT Charge Controller 25 Amp and a Trimetric 250i meter that I love.

I wonder if the Samlex also monitors the battery status and USED Amps, % remaining power..... That is what you need.
