Default Lucky us. TM3326 Rear Ended by Driver.

Tonight we are stuck here in Marrietta, FL. An allegedly inattentive driver rear ended our 2006 3326 fresh out of TN for a tuneup and then broke the right front tie-rod on our Tacoma V6 Pre-Runner. The TM is still towable (she hit the right rear corner) but until we can get the tie-rod we are stuck (only available.

Hopefully the TM is repairable. Everything was working fine...I even got the electrical system working great (found and cleared corrosion causing the refer not to run when towing, it was even working fine right after the collision)...If not we will be looking for another fairly fresh 3326 reasonably priced. If you have one you think might be a candidate let me know.

Good news was nobody was hurt.

I will say that Ray's towing gets four stars for service from me. The Firestone store has also gone out of its way to be helpful...

Glad you were not injured. Machinery can always be repaired or replaced.

Glad everyone is fine. Scary, as we are planning a trip from D.C. out west to Yellowstone very soon. You just never know when something like this will happen...

Yep. I would say stow some stuff for the animals and yourself in TV. We had to pick up that stuff at Wally World.

Also save a few mags and books just in case you need them...

Turns out we got our broken 3326 home Monday from Marianna, Fl.

The people in Marianna did a lot to help including driving us up to Dontham, Al to get a Uhaul to tow the 3326 home. There were no taxis or rental agencies open on Sunday in Marianna.

Anyway, attached is one of the impact photos. If you observe you will notice a gold piece of metal attached to the TM. The TM does not have gold metal on it but the Avalon does...or did...

Our Tacoma will be ready in the next few days, which means another interesting trip back to Marianna to bring the TV home.

The pardette wants to get out 3326 fixed. She has an attachment to it. Hopefully the folks at TM can do this...

On other thing no obvious in the damage picture is that when the TM is closed and hit, you get damage to both the upper and lower structure.

As one person suggested maybe I should look at a "Work & Play"...probably only the Avalon would have been damaged...
