we use this, mounted to the TM's rear receiver hitch, move into place with an 18V drill in two different locations.

Had thought about putting a hitch on a lawn tractor (20 hp+) but just never needed it.

Have you considered 1/4" galvanized hardware cloth. Cut it into strips that match the wheels and nail it down. The grass will grow through the mesh and no one will ever see it.

Are you able to dig in some drainage? Dig some trenches, install some drain pipe, back fill with drain rock, cover with filter cloth, top soil/sand, then sod?

The only practical issue I see with that is the possibility that it may drain too much water away so that the grass may dry out too quickly.

Dry out quickly ? In South Florida ? Not a problem.

I know,... I know.... I just thought extra drainage in the affected area may allow excess rainwater to drain quickly so that you can park the trailer without tearing up a soggy mess. We took a trip to Florida a couple of years ago and noticed that the grasses are much different from ours. No doubt, they're more drought resistant than ours, but extra drainage might cause the grass to brown out faster than the rest of the lawn.

I think, though, that a long roll out matt of some sort is probably the best solution so far.

Is one way when travelling I know am back in Florida, foliage is a really deep green with no yellow. Almost a Brewster green.

OTOH I li ke the idea of putting a strong non-rotting fabric mesh down and letting the grass grow over it.

Google 'sand ramps' or 'sand ladders'.

This site has various devices. http://www.discountramps.com/sand-tr...FZeXfgodh90Gmw

Some are better than others of course, and some are godawful expensive.

How about a few sections of roll fencing. If you had 4 sections about 5 feet long (and 2 feet wide) you could put them down and keep swapping the sections until you had it where you wanted it.
Is the object to get it behind the fence?
